Matthew tweeted, “It was pointed out to me that I won a game of #Jeopardy on Groundhog Day.”
On the second day of February, the contestant beat the other players with a huge daily total.
Matthew continued, “This could be bad news for people who are really sick of my stupid hair and accent…”
Although Matthew sarcastically mocked his performance, audiences were drawn to his unmistakable British accent.

“DEEP BOOMING VOICE”
Fans recently imagined what it would be like to combine Matthew’s voice on the game show with the trend of relaxing sound videos.

During the episode, Matthew shared that he enjoyed doing live readings of William Shakespeare’s famous plays with his friends via Zoom.
Fans have also started cheering Matthew on Jeopardy! Champ, Ray LaLonde, who was also known for his “sexy storytelling voice”.
Viewers have asked Matthew about three-day champions like Jake DeArruda, who irritated many with his flashy facial and hand gestures, and Yogesh Rautwho made various online rants dissing fans and peers.
While Ray is expected to return for the 2023 Tournament of Champions, fans were excited to see what would happen next as Matthew managed to grab another big score.
‘NO RESPECT!’
On February 3rd, Matthew won his second Jeopardy! Play for an impressive $42,200.
As host Ken Jennings, 48, read: “No Respect! Even though this North American river is more than 2,300 miles long, it’s still just a tributary,” he said. The correct answer was, “What is Missouri?”
Although confused viewers shouted “No Respect!” was the catchphrase coined by the late standup comedian Rodney Dangerfield. Matthew explained online how he won.

The TV star continued, “I think the implication was just that, everyone remembers the Mississippi as America’s greatest river of all time, and Missouri has to play second fiddle despite being pretty similar in length.
“(By the way, I’m the guy who gave the answer on the show! I hope I get to come over here and see what kind of hash you all think I made out of the easy questions!”
