Matt Hardy was once again teasing about a reunion with his brother Jeff in AEW. The former WWE Superstar declined to confirm the rumors swirling around, but added that the duo will be working together soon.
Jeff is now a freelance worker after being released by WWE. The former champion has a non-compete clause that expires next month; once successful, he will be able to sign with any promotion.
Speaking on this week’Matt Hardy’s Hard Life, Matt offered another hint of a Hardy Boyz reunion. He hinted that the tagging team will be working together again soon, but did not confirm whether it will join All Elite Wrestling. He say:
Matt Hardy said: “Jeff’s non-compete clause is in effect until March 9, so as of March 10 he will be free to do whatever, and after that he can negotiate with someone or work for another big company that has television, anything can happen,” Matt Hardy said. “Do I think Jeff Hardy could finally come to AEW and work with Matt Hardy again? As they say in the wrestling business, never say never. Anything is possible. We will definitely work together. And we’ll see if the planets align and have a chance to be the greatest team in all space and time again.” [H/t WrestlingNews]

All of the Elite Wrestling stars have revealed the possibility of Jeff Hardy’s debut this week, but the former WWE Superstar is still in the midst of his non-compete clause.
Matt Hardy previously confirmed his brother will not appear on Dynamite this week, but did not rule out the possibility that Jeff will soon join Tony Khan’s promotions.
Matt Hardy said: “I don’t think he’s the guy who’s going to be in this Wednesday’s AEW against Isiah Kassidy. “Though, who knows? Tony Khan, Papa Khan has a lot of money. Maybe he bought him out of contract and he’ll be coming soon. Who knows? The 90-day final is supposed to be over. on March 9, 10 he is a freelance agent.” (H/T Fight)
Jeff’s WWE non-compete clause expires on March 9, and based on recent hints, we could see Team Xtreme working together soon.
