Marvel opens real-life daily bug shop for Spider-Man: No Way Home

Yes, the newspaper has a picture of Spider-Man.

The Daily Bugle

Spiderman New York City fans will enjoy a bit of their morning commute. Ads for Spider-Man: There’s No Way Home caused real-life The Daily Bugle newsstands to pop up on city streets. You can grab a limited edition Spider-Man newspaper, but you’d better act fast because they’re bound to run out faster than you can say “web-slinger”.

Fans shared the encounters with pop-up newsstands across social media. Screenshots from those lucky enough to get one of the limited edition newspapers showing its news content. The newspaper was flooded with fake articles covering the previous two films in the trilogy. Stories like “The Upcoming Mysterio-Mania month” and “Drone Perception Takes a Nosedive” return to the backstory of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Meanwhile, other articles hinted at what could be expected in the upcoming sequel such as a wanted ad for “The Man with Tentacles” resembling Alfred Molina, the Octopus Doctor.

Of course, the biggest plot point for the upcoming Spidey movie is the fact that Peter Parker is seen as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Daily Bugle kiosks are decorated with photos of Parker along with the phrase “Public Enemy #1”. In classic J. Jonah Jameson style, the articles call for Parker’s arrest and demand that Spider-Man answer for all his “crimes” against the city.

These newsstands are just one of a number of ways Sony and Marvel have promoted the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man trilogy. Recently Daily Bugle TikTok Account showed some videos of Angourie Rice’s Betty Brant as she interned at a fictional newspaper. It looks like the Spider-Man world is bleeding into our own, which is a clever promotional move considering the movie is a mash-up of multiverses.

Hype for No Way Home is now at an all-time high with web-slinger pop up everywhere measuring place. Tickets for the movie’s release date are almost sold out everywhere and now sell them on eBay at ridiculous prices. It looks like the movie will become a huge hit for Sony and Marvel when it hits theaters on December 17.
