MARSEILLE have reportedly been in touch with Manchester United about a loan deal for Eric Bailly.
But the Red Devils only want to let the defender step down permanently.

And Bailly, 28, has emerged as her main target.
The Ivorian is entering his seventh season at Old Trafford.
But he was never able to secure a regular starting spot as he only featured seven times last season.
Roma have been linked with a move to Bailly, as have Italian rivals AC Milan.
Fulham also eyed Bailly before coming across West Ham’s Issa Diop.
And the Hammers themselves are now considering Bailly as a replacement for Diop.
However, Marseille are believed to be leading the race and Bailly is keen to make the move and play in the Champions League.

But the French only want to loan him out for now, with an option to make things permanent if things go well.
That won’t fly with United, however, who would rather keep Bailly unless they can ditch him for a permanent transfer fee.
The Villarreal ex-husband is now the fifth choice following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez.
But a compromise could be worked out by the end of the transfer window.
