MARSEILLE have reached an agreement to sign Alexis Sanchez on a free transfer.
The Chilean will undergo a medical after agreeing personal terms with the Ligue 1 side.
Sanchez, 33, agreed to end his contract with Inter Milan earlier this month to join a new team for free.
Marseille have confirmed on their website that they have won the race to sign the former Arsenal and Manchester United star.
They wrote on their official website: “Olympique de Marseille and Alexis Sanchez have agreed in principle on a transfer
“The Chile international, with 143 caps and 17 career trophies, will sign for Olympique in the next few hours after passing a medical.”
Sanchez joined Inter in 2019, initially on loan from Man United.
He played 108 games for the San Siro Club, scoring 20 goals.
After spells in Chile, Argentina, Spain, England and Italy, he’s ready for his first taste of French football.
Sanchez becomes Marseille’s 11th signing in a busy summer transfer window.
