Mario Strikers: Battle League Announced For Nintendo Switch

Mario Ready to join the ballpark again. Mario Strikers: Battle League is a new super-charged Mario soccer game coming to the Nintendo Switch and will launch on June 10.

A new trailer at Nintendo Direct on Wednesday showed off the upcoming ball game. Battle League requires players to team up in 5 on 5 matches to compete on the field. Of course, players can tackle and attack members of the opposing team with classic Mario weapons like the green shell. They can also launch super powerful shots known as “super attacks”. Popular characters from the Mario series, including Mario, Peach, and Yoshi are returning, and can now be equipped with devices that change their stats on the field.

The game will allow up to eight players to compete in local co-op with a single Nintendo Switch Console. If you cannot round enough people, there is also an online club mode with a ranking ladder.

The game will be the latest in Mario Strikers Series. Before, Mario Strikers charged was released for the Nintendo Wii in 2007, and Super Mario Strikers was released for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2005.
