Marcus Rashford ‘is considering his future at Man Utd after becoming increasingly unhappy with lack of game time under Rangnick’

MARCUS RASHFORD is considering his future at Manchester United, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has struggled to find form in recent months and has been underperforming after coming off the bench in the Reds’ 4-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

According to The Guardian, he is increasingly frustrated by the lack of game time under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

And while he hopes his chances at Old Trafford will improve, the England international is said to be seriously considering leaving his boyhood club.

Rashford missed the opening two months of the campaign after having shoulder surgery.

He then returned to the first team in October and scored in his comeback match in a 4-2 loss to Leicester.

But since then he has only scored three goals in 17 league appearances.

And he has only started two of Man Utd’s last 11 Prem games, most of which have to be settled for a place on the bench.

On Sunday, Rangnick picked youngster Anthony Elanga ahead of Rashford for the Manchester Derby.

The German coach will only be in charge until the end of the season, so whether he can make a regular first-team comeback under the incoming manager is up to Rashford.

He hopes the club can provide some clarity on the management situation.

Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are two men who have been invited as potential candidates to take over.

Meanwhile, Rashford’s Man Utd contract runs until 2023 – with the club reportedly having the option of a further year extension.

And there is no guarantee United will accept Rashford’s decision to leave.

He broke into the first team as a teenager under Louis van Gaal.

And since then, he has scored 93 goals in 295 appearances.

Man Utd is currently ranked 5th on the Premier League table, 1 point behind Arsenal in 4th place after 3 more matches.
