Lingard is out of contract in the summer and has attracted interest from many EPL teams, including West Ham United. However, Newcastle are believed to be the top team and were rejected by Manchester United on a £5-6m loan deal earlier this week.

The Red Devils are looking to move him long-term and are expected to accept the new price.

Initially, Newcastle United were interested in signing Sevilla midfielder Diego Carlos and were willing to pay £ 30 million for this player. However, recent reports have claimed that another PL club is willing to pay more than that.

Manchester United set to kick off exodus with sale of Jesse Lingard?

Manchester United have been linked with many big names over the summer, with several key areas still in need of reliable reinforcements. Before doing so, however, they will find a way to offload a few stars. This is something that manager Ralf Rangnick has been vocal about recently.

Anthony Martial was largely expected to leave but the France international has recently been actively benched and is likely to stay until the summer. Others such as Phil Jones, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani are also implicated in the move for various reasons.

Jesse Lingard had a hugely successful season at West Ham last season as he scored nine goals and provided four assists in 16 EPL appearances. He will have an eye in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad and cannot be faulted for wanting to move.

Lingard is expected to miss out on regular appearances at United despite impressing in his limited playing time this season.
