Follow Het Nieuwsblad via ESPN, Youri Tielemans is keen to leave Leicester City this summer. The 24-year-old is said to be eager to join a club that will help him win silverware and play in the Champions League.
Tielemans joined Leicester from AS Monaco in January 2019 on loan until the end of the season. The English side then signed the Tielemans permanently in a £32 million deal in the summer of 2019.
The 24-year-old has had an explosive season, scoring nine goals and six assists in 51 appearances in all competitions. He was one of the bright lights in a disappointing 2021-22 campaign for Leicester City, who are currently 12th in the Premier League table. The Tielemans have scored five goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances for the club this season.
Leicester may be forced to sell Tielemans next summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in 2023. The Foxes valued Youri Tielemans at £60m last summer but are widely expected to fall. Their asking price dropped to just £35 million.
Manchester United are bracing themselves for the potential departure of Paul Pogba next summer. The Frenchman’s contract with the club is due to expire at the end of the season and he has therefore turned down the opportunity to sign an extension.
Pogba is expected to run out of contract with United and become a free agent next summer. Therefore, Manchester United see Youri Tielemans as the ideal replacement.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to sign midfielder who plays for partner Thomas Partey at the center of the park next season.
Manchester United and Arsenal will need to secure a top-four finish if they want to sign their top transfer targets
Manchester United have endured a difficult 2021-22 campaign despite any impressive summer 2021 transfers. The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table and need to prepare for a change in form to secure a place in the top four.
On the other hand, Arsenal seem to be on the right track under Mikel Arteta in the first half of the season. However, their dismal winter transfer window took the club a step back. Arsenal parted ways with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by mutual consent but were unable to sign a replacement for the 32-year-old.
