Manchester United accept loan offer for outcast 26-year-old

La Liga outfit Seville made a loan offer Manchester United castaway Anthony Martial, based on Sports sky. The 26-year-old striker wants to leave Old Trafford to ensure a regular starting position in the first team.

Martial has been on a slump at United since the arrival of Mason Greenwood and the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho. It now looks like the France international could be a regular starter in the first team, albeit at Sevilla, who have made a loan offer for the player.

According to the aforementioned source, Sevilla have made a loan offer for six months. The offer does not include any obligation or option to make the switch permanent next season. As things are going, United have yet to respond to an offer from the La Liga side.

United interim manager Ralf Rangnick recently confirmed that Martial is keen to leave Old Trafford in January. Ahead of United’s 1-1 draw against Newcastle United on Monday, Rangnick said:

“We had a very long talk on Wednesday. He explained to me that he had been at Manchester United for the past seven years and that he felt the time was right for a change, to go somewhere else. I think in a way this makes sense; I can follow his thinking.”

United signed Martial, then an unknown entity, in the summer of 2015. However, the Frenchman made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut in a 3 win. -1 against Liverpool. Since then, though, the 26-year-old striker has had a rough time at Old Trafford.

He has scored 79 goals in 268 appearances for Manchester United. However, Martial arts have been trying to score consistently, especially in the last two seasons.

The striker has scored just one goal in ten appearances this season. The Frenchman has only scored seven goals in the last campaign. That has seen him drop the pecking order.

United needed 71 minutes to muster a response. That came from Edinson Cavani, who came on from the bench to level the procedure 20 minutes before the final whistle blew. However, a winner didn’t happen because the guests had to deal with part of the spoils.
