This year marks 30 years since the Red Devils lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time.

The league won on the final day of the season after a narrow 1-0 win over Coventry City thanks to a 40th-minute goal from Denis Irwin.

They clinched the title by a single point as second-placed Aston Villa managed just 71 points after beating Arsenal on the final day.

To make the league’s victory even more special, it was the Premier League’s first year since its inception.

Some of the squad have reunited for a reunion alongside the Premier League trophy.

Former Red Devil Lee Sharpe shared a picture of the occasion on Twitter.

Next to the picture was the caption: “Today reunion celebrating 30 years since we won Premier League 1 not that I feel old 🤣😳 @ManUtd.”

The snapshot showed the retired stars in two rows of chairs.

The back row included (left to right) Bryan Robson, Clayton Blackmore, Mike Phelan, Gary Pallister and Sharpe.

And in the front row (left to right) were Brian McClair, Mark Hughes, Denis Irwin and Paul Parker.

Sharpe was instrumental in winning the title, even assisting Irwin’s goal against Coventry on the final day.

While there were stars like Ryan Giggs, Eric Cantona and Peter Schmeichel, there were still many Unites kings.

One of them is midfielder Robson. The 66-year-old scored 74 league goals in 345 appearances for the club.

Hughes is also another notable character who went into management after hanging his boost.

The Welshman has had spells at Manchester City, Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers and is currently Bradford City manager.
