Man Utd transfer push with Frenchman Benjamin Pavard to refuse new contract with Bayern Munich after request from Red Devils

BENJAMIN PAVARD has given Manchester United a transfer boost as he is reportedly set to quit a new deal at Bayern Munich.
Pavard, 26, is under contract with the German champions until 2024.

However, according to Sport Bild, Pavard is set to refuse a new contract following a request from Man Utd in the summer.
The Frenchman is understood to be looking for a new challenge after winning everything he can with Bayern.
In November he told the Gazzetta dello Sport: “I won everything with Bayern. I am willing to evaluate new and interesting projects.”
Pavard’s market value is currently £30m, according to Transfermarkt.
Erik ten Hag is said to want to sign the former Stuttgarter, who can play at right-back or centre-back.
But no offer was ever received from the Red Devils, instead using Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro to strengthen the team’s backbone.
Should United try to land him again, they are likely to face competition from both AC Milan and FC Barcelona.
A particular interest already exists for Milan after Pavard admitted he would like to play with compatriot Olivier Giroud.
Pavard was a starting XI in the first game of France’s World Cup season but has not featured at right-back since being ousted by Jules Kounde – with team-mates divided over the decision.
France are in action today against Morocco in the World Cup semifinals.
