Man Utd takeover news LIVE: Club ‘ready again’ for Rabiot transfer, Declan Rice offer, Garnacho goal reaction

Wright helps Antony succeed

Ian Wright has argued that Antony needs more time at Manchester United to fulfill his potential.

He told Match of the Day: “I have a lot of time for him, I think he’s the same as Darwin Nunez.”

“Sometimes people expect so much given the price. We know they have ability and quality in the first year and when you look at what he’s capable of you have to give this guy some time.”

“What he’s doing is he’s going into space. He finds space. That’s what sets him apart from many other people: speed and skill. He just skins them.”

“As soon as you get into this situation [with Sancho free in the box] Now you want peace and serenity.

“Ultimately, a great run gets you nowhere, but over time it won’t go to waste. It comes down to decisions. But over time, these decisions will become easy for him.”
