On Instagram, the Manchester United midfielder launched a rumor by Portuguese media outlet, SPORT TV.

In response to a post linking him to the Catalan giants, Fernandes hit back.

He scoffed; “And I thought the new year just started a few days ago, but we’re already on April 1st!

“Or is this again just bad journalism?”

But SPORT TV are not the only ones to suggest a move to Barca for the Portuguese international.

El Nacional reported that if Barca could not land Erling Haaland, then Fernandes is their next top target.

“You can’t run away at the end of a match,” Neville said.

“Bruno is always flirting.”

And United legend Andrew Cole, said Fernandes ‘not the same player’ since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Manchester last summer.
