Man Utd ‘set up transfer offer for Meunier and ready to meet £40m Wan-Bissaka and sell him back to Palace’

MANCHESTER UNITED are planning a transfer for Thomas Meunier as they prepare to take a £40million loss on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

United are in the market to improve their options at right-back, with Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot coming under fire for their poor performances over the past 12 months.

And now, three years after buying him for a whopping £50m, United are reportedly ready to take a £40m loss to sell Wan-Bissaka back to Crystal Palace.

According to The Telegraph, Palace are ready to bring their academy graduate back to Selhurst Park but will only pay £10million to do so.

Wan-Bissaka was signed hoping to develop the offensive side of his game to complement his already excellent tackle ability.

However, the defender has not developed adequately and as a result has lost his regular place in the United xi.

The Telegraph added United want to replace him with one of Borussia Dortmund’s right-backs Meunier or Sergino Dest.

Meunier, 30, started both games for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga but was delighted at half-time in the 3-1 win over SC Freiburg.

United are yet to make an offer for the Belgium defender but are likely to sign him sooner than Dest as Barcelona are asking £17m for him.

New reports today also revealed that United are set to join Christian Pulisic on loan from Chelsea.

The American is said to be ready to join the Red Devils for more regular playing time as United’s current forward line struggles.

Among them is Cristiano Ronaldo, who revealed he would reveal “the truth” about his future when he takes part in an interview in a few weeks.

Former United team-mate Gary Neville slammed the decision not to “grab the situation by the neck” and implored him to “stand up and speak now”.

Additionally, Ronaldo’s sister shared a post by Piers Morgan to her Instagram Story, with the post in question calling United “lazy”.
