Man Utd ‘offered Zakaria contract and willing to pay January transfer fee instead of waiting for him to land for free in the summer’

MANCHESTER UNITED has offered Denis Zakaria a contract.
And it is thought the Reds will be more willing to pay a transfer fee this January than wait to bring him in for free in the summer.
Zakaria, 25, is in the final six months of his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach.
But Bild in the German state, United made an agreement for his agents to look over.
However, Monchengladbach has yet to participate in the negotiations.
Zakaria fits the profile as a holding midfielder that United desperately need to bring in.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is said to be a big fan of the 6ft 3ins Swiss international.
Midfielder Declan Rice and Ruben Neves has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford as United want to strengthen in that area.

But plenty of top clubs across Europe are also interested in Zakaria, including fellow Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
Barcelona, Juventus and Monchengladbach’s German neighbor Bayern Munich are all said to be in the mix – but would rather land the 38-year-old star with nothing over the summer.
Zakaria spent youth levels with Servette in his hometown before joining Young Boys in 2015.
Two years later, he moved to the Bundesliga side in a deal worth £8 million.
And he has received plenty of praise for his performances under Adi Hutter this season, with scoring two league goals in 14 games.
