Man Utd news LIVE: traveling squad RETURNED, Fred blast ‘unplanned’, Harry Kane interest, Atletico build

Good morning Man Utd fans

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to find the net again in a wasted performance in Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Watford.

The 37-year-old forward currently has just one goal in his last ten games, underscoring United’s need for a world-class finisher.

Ronaldo seems to have lost his clinical touch and he cannot be blamed for the lack of opportunities to score in this situation.

Unlike the Atletico Madrid draw in the middle of the week, when Ronaldo only had 2 shots, the Portuguese player had countless opportunities against The Hornets.

In the first five minutes, Anthony Elanga created a chance for him from 12 yards but CR7 hit the post instead of finding the bottom corner.

Moments later, Alex Telles made a perfect cross that Ronaldo hit the back of the net, only to be flagged offside.

But he got on Samir’s right and didn’t need to go offside – a player of his caliber and experience should have done better.

Things didn’t get any better after the break when Ronaldo picked up Bruno Fernandes’ low cross, but shot straight into a Watford defender, leaving their goal gaping.

There’s no way Ronaldo would miss such an opportunity during his prime, hinting that his days at the top level may be coming to an end.
