Good morning Man Utd fans
Manchester United are considering a January move for Norwich ace Max Aarons, reports SunSport’s Philip Cadden.
United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to sign another right-back for rival Diogo Dalot as Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt.
The Red Devils are longtime admirers of Aarons and were one of eight teams to spot the 22-year-old at Bramall Lane in England Under-21s’ win over Germany in September.
Th3e Canaries value him at £10m while United are also eyeing Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have joined the Red Devils in the transfer war to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong has impressed Leverkusen since leaving Celtic last year as he has already recorded seven goals and 12 assists in 64 games.
According to Football Transfers, United will compete with the Blues for the full-back’s signature in January.
However, the defender is currently fully focused on forming the Netherlands squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
And United manager Ten Hag praised Harry Maguire’s “great” return in the 1-0 win over West Ham.
Maguire has made his first Premier League start since being ruled out 11 weeks ago.
Ten Hag told Match of the Day: “He was great at protecting the box.
“He’s a great player and a really good defender and we’ve seen how important he is to the squad.
“Of course I’m very happy for the team, but also for Harry Maguire, who came off the field without conceding a goal.”
Finally, United star Bruno Fernandes will miss Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season.
Fernandes was cautioned by referee Chris Kavanagh in the 90th minute for a foul on West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen.
The versatile midfielder has been booked in five of his 12 Premier League games this season.
The caution means the Portugal international is now serving a one-match ban.
