Ruud van Nistelrooy, PSV EINDHOVEN coach, has resigned as manager of the club.

The Manchester United legend has only been in charge for one season.

The news comes as a shock to the Eredivisie side as they still have one game of the season left.

The club said in a statement: “Head coach Ruud van Nistelrooiy announced this morning that he is leaving PSV.”

“PSV regrets his decision and is grateful to him for winning the Johan Cruijff Shield and TOTO KNVB Cup and hopes to finish the season in second place.”
