ROY KEANE responded emphatically when asked to comment on Harry Maguire’s latest inspirational speech.
Club captain Maguire has since publicly revealed that he and his teammates are ready ‘for the fight’, although Keane has hit him with ‘trash talk’.
While on duty as a doctor for ITVResponding to Maguire’s comments, Keane said: “How many times has he said it? I’m not going to listen too much to what Harry has to say.
“I would judge a player by what he does on the pitch, not what he says about rubbish about players sticking together and we need to do more.
“It’s not enough to judge a player by what he does on the pitch and United do.
“I still expect United to come out and put in a performance but it hasn’t been good enough lately.”
Maguire missed the home defeat to Wolves due to injury, and on Friday was listed as questionable for FA Cup clash with Aston Villa in Monday.

But talk to manutd.com, Maguire insists he completes the task of leading Manchester United.
And he issued a rallying call to his teammates, saying: “I’m the captain and the leader in the dressing room, and I’ve had private conversations with the players and Management will keep it a secret.
“Make no mistake about it, I’m here to fight and I know my teammates are too.
“I expect them to be, and if they don’t happen then – like I said – something is wrong.
“We have a big squad. Of course, not all the players will always be happy when they’re not playing but that’s football and we all have to stay professional.”
Manchester United have won three of their five Premier League games under Ralf Rangnick, but are yet to achieve their best on-field record.
It led to speculation regarding behind-the-scenes issues, which led to Marcus Rashford insists there is no instability between the players.
United will act next on Monday night in the FA Cup against Aston Villa, with Rangick named a test party at Old Trafford.
