Man Utd inquire about Leandro Paredes transfer but PSG’s £30m price tag ‘scares boss Erik ten Hag off’

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly launched an investigation into Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes.
French socket L’Equipe Talks over claims are ongoing but PSG’s asking price of £30m has complicated negotiations.

Erik ten Hag is reportedly put off by the transfer and could therefore turn to other goals.
Paredes, 28, has played for the Ligue 1 champions since 2019 and helped them win three league titles, having previously played for Zenit Saint Petersburg and Roma.
He has played 113 times for the Parisians but made just 15 appearances last season.
The Argentina defensive midfielder is comfortable in possession but rarely comes on as he has only scored three goals for the club.
He could be one of several players expected to leave PSG this summer following Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking.
A move back to Italy could be in the cards for Paredes, with Juventus also reportedly monitoring him.
Man Utd are already heavily linked with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong as Ten Hag look to rebuild United’s squad and midfield in particular.
A deal is also expected to be finalized for Christian Eriksen but the new manager reportedly wants to further strengthen the central division after losing the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard.

Ten Hag are reportedly increasingly frustrated with the lack of transfer activity as the club have only signed one player, Tyrell Malacia.
And they could use a lot more, especially as Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is unclear.
If Paredes moves to Old Trafford, he could be joined by Argentina team-mate Lisandro Martinez, who United are said to be interested in.
