The final details of the transfer will be discussed shortly before completion.

Man Utd were thought to be interested in Malacia, 22, who had impressed for the Eredivisie side last season.

Feyenoord finished 3rd domestically but had a great run to the Conference League Finals which eventually lost to Roma.

Malacia played 50 games all season, recording five assists and one goal.

Lyon appear to be winning the battle for his signature as the player is open to working with Dutch boss Peter Bosz.

Malacia missed just four games that season and was called up to the Dutch national team due to his good form. Since then he has won five international matches.

Erik ten Hag was reportedly keen to sign his compatriot as he aims to rebuild the Red Devils this summer.

United were able to sign six players with many players with ties to the Netherlands on their shortlist.

The club are reportedly continuing their pursuit of Frenkie de Jong while they keep tabs on Ajax trio Antony, Lisandro Martinez and Jurrien Timber.

Christian Eriksen could also arrive at Old Trafford.

Man Utd are also in the hunt for a new backup goalkeeper as SunSport exclusively revealed Dean Henderson will join Nottingham Forest.

Reports suggest Daniel Bachman of Watford could be his replacement.
