Sabitzer has played 12 times for United, including a substitute in the Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio RomanoThe 29-year-old wants to stay at Old Trafford beyond the end of the season.

Sabitzer enjoys working with Erik ten Hag and is satisfied with the impact he was able to make in the Theater of Dreams.

But United do NOT have an option to purchase in the terms of the loan agreement.

Sabitzer’s Bayern future looked bleak under ex-coach Julian Nagelsmann.

But his career with the Bundesliga champions is now in the hands of new coach Thomas Tuchel.

Should the ex-Chelsea boss wish to keep him, Sabitzer may not be granted his permanent move to Old Trafford.

The midfielder still has a two-year contract with Bayern at the end of the season.

Speaking to Bild this week, Sabitzer was delighted with his time at United.

He said: “Obviously my thoughts are with Man United, especially with the confidence I’m getting from Erik ten Hag – it’s very positive.

“I have found my place here. Now I know the Premier League and I can say that there is nothing better.”

Sabitzer has started United’s last three Prem games and could be in action tonight when Ten Hag’s men take on Sevilla in the Europa League.
