Casemiro has helped the Red Devils win the Carabao Cup and compete for the FA Cup and Europa League.

However, he has missed his fair share of domestic games through suspension.

The midfielder is currently serving a four-game ban for his red card against Southampton.

His agent Oscar Ribot has insisted the Brazilian’s lack of time on the pitch is a challenge.

He told The Guardian: “Taking away football is like taking food off your table. It’s like he can’t live, can’t breathe.

“He wakes up thinking about football and goes to bed thinking about football.

“He watches hundreds of games: every team, every league.

“I saw him watching Chinese games because there are always details.

“He says he won’t be a coach, but he will. He’s already one in a footballer’s body.

“He’s seen everything this month [during suspension]calculating the required points and the remaining days.

“Case signed for four years plus one. He came to win titles. This month has been tough but he has nothing else on his mind.”

And fans loved hearing about the midfielder’s passion for the game, with many urging Erik ten Hag to make him captain.

One fan tweeted: “Make him captain.”

A second commented: “I can’t express how much I want him as captain.”

While a third said: “Words cannot describe how happy we are to have him play for our club.”

Another added: “The fact that we have leaders all over the place makes me happy.”
