Man Utd expect huge boost with THREE players returning from injury when Premier League resumes after World Cup

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Erik ten Hag is facing a TRIPLE surge in injuries ahead of the restart of the season later this month.
That’s as Manchester Evening News claim Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams and Tom Heaton could all be fit and available in the near future.

Ten Hag’s side are currently in Spain ahead of a training camp that includes friendlies against Cadiz and Real Betis.
Heaton and Williams have traveled with the rest of the non-World Cup players, although Tuanzebe is recovering at Carrington and has not been named.
The centre-back has been sidelined all season with a back problem and has not played for United since the 2021 Europa League final.
Williams has also been away throughout the season, his last appearance for the club coming on the last day of 2020-21.
Meanwhile, Heaton has been on the treatment table for the last month after suffering a knee injury in training in October.
But the report claims the trio have ALL hope of returning to action before the restart.
United’s return to the Premier League takes place at Nottingham Forest on December 27, the first of three Premier League games in eight days.
But that comes after they hosted Burnley in the Carabao Cup.

And with much of the squad recovering from the World Cup likely to be rested, Ten Hag could name a weakened side for the fourth-round tie.
Against this backdrop, the likes of Williams and Tuanzebe are hoping for a rare opportunity.
