Man Utd ‘desperate to find out if N’Golo Kante will be sold this summer’ as new boss Erik ten Hag has his eye on the Chelsea star

MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in signing N’Golo Kante and are keen to see if Chelsea are ready to sell him.

And according to The Guardian, it seems likely they would be willing to sack the Frenchman.

Kante, 31, has had numerous outstanding performances for the Blues, such as last season’s Champions League final, but he has struggled with injuries this season.

He started just 55 per cent of Premier League games throughout the campaign with a knee problem.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has highlighted Kante’s importance on many occasions, saying he is a “key player” but he may have to accept the world champions leaving his side.

If he leaves there could be an opportunity for Conor Gallagher who has produced exceptional performances on loan at Crystal Palace.

New Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag is keen to bolster his midfield options this summer in a bid to rebuild the squad.

With Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic heading to the Old Trafford exit door, United are in dire need of a defensive midfielder.
