Man Utd ‘consider’ £25m move for highly rated Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou

MANCHESTER UNITED is said to be plotting to buy goalkeeper Yassine Bounou in the summer.
The 29-year-old Moroccan has been in excellent form this season and is battling Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois for LaLiga’s goalkeeper of the season award.

Now the Daily Mirror claim that United may be readying a move in the summer to bring him back to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils ‘have been monitoring Bounou for several months’ and they ‘are understood to have asked to closely monitor his situation’ at the Spanish club.
The star still has two years left to run on his contract but he has a release clause as part of his contract.
It is reported that a bid of £25m will trigger that.
But Sevilla are desperate to hang on to the backstop after learning of interest in the former Atletico Madrid and Girona.
They want to extend his contract by two years and want to renegotiate a release clause of up to £63m.
United also face competition from elsewhere for the goalkeeper.
Atletico also want to bring Bounou back to the club while some teams from Serie A want to lure him to Italy.

United’s No 1 David de Gea has now entered the final 18 months of his contract with the Premier League outfit.
He recently stated that he is happy with life in Manchester.
But the club may decide to withdraw rather than risk losing the Spaniard for nothing.
