MANCHESTER UNITED CEO Richard Arnold was branded a “dumb, bloodthirsty buffoon” by Simon Jordan after his pub chat with fans last weekend.
The senior Red Devils boss met with a dozen fans at The Boot Inn in Cheshire after being informed of a planned protest.
Arnold, 51, admitted the club “burned bloody hard cash” under predecessor Ed Woodward.
He was also filmed saying last year at Old Trafford had been a “fucking nightmare” in footage later leaked to the disappointment of United bosses.
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan slammed Arnold as “naive,” though co-host Jim White was more likable.
Jordan, 54, exploded: “Richard Arnold sat in that meeting.
“If you’re so stupid and so raw and so naive and so wet behind the ears that you’re going to sit there and think that what you’re saying isn’t going to find its way into the public domain, not even through a burp from someone , verbally returning what you said, or someone recording it, what the hell is wrong with you?
White, 65, hinted he acted in “good faith” by meeting fans and chatting openly.
But Jordan didn’t have any when it came down to it, hitting back: “But Jim, grow up. You walk into a room, you are in a public environment.”
After White suggested it should be “about trust,” Jordan replied, “Oh, cut that out. It’s about being realistic.

“And by the way, why would Manchester United be unhappy with an iota of that content?
“It’s what your CEO thinks, isn’t it? If you don’t think it, don’t say it.”
White later suggested that Arnold may have expected the chat to remain behind closed doors in “good faith”.
Jordan replied, “So he’s a gormless buffoon, isn’t he?”
After the footage was leaked, United released a statement on Sunday.
It read: “Richard heard a group of fans had gathered at a pub near his home.
“He went up to them, bought them all a drink, listened to their views and explained what the club is doing to succeed on the pitch, improve the stadium and bond with the fans.”
In a possible altercation over Woodward’s transfer strategy, Arnold told supporters: ‘Do you want me to buy the players? Doesn’t that sound like you?”
He also admitted: “Last year was a bloody nightmare. Every game there was hate. We blew through an enormous amount of money.”
