Man Utd are set to keep Aaron Wan-Bissaka this month as Crystal Palace are unable to pay the increased transfer fee

CRYSTAL PALACE fear they will be priced out of Manchester United’s signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Eagles were interested in bringing him back to Selhurst Park after he became a fringe player at Old Trafford.

In recent weeks, however, the defender has managed to earn his place in Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Wan-Bissaka was part of the Manchester United squad that managed to defeat Cross City rivals Manchester City on Saturday.

And Selhurst Park bosses are now concerned United will be less willing to let him go.

The Eagles were counting on a loan change up until this development.

But United will now demand a fee to part ways with the right-back as his recent form boosts his profile in the squad.

And it would be a challenge for Palace to buy him and match his Old Trafford wages.

The Eagles are also keen to re-apply for former Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher.

Boss Patrick Vieira wants his former loan star back and Palace’s money men would find the means to sign the fan favourite.

The 22-year-old England midfielder has been pushed around the Blues side in various positions since his return to Stamford Bridge last summer.

And could move further down the pecking order once Graham Potter looks for more reinforcements.

However, Gallagher is still keen to make it at his boyhood club and that could be Palace’s biggest obstacle to progress.

Vieira wants an extra midfielder and if Gallagher says no he may have to go elsewhere and that door is closing.
