Man Utd are looking to hire brother of former players Michael and Will Keane as new transfer boss ahead of hectic summer

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly hired Everton defender Michael Keane’s brother as the club’s new transfer boss.
Lawyer Tom Keane is set to replace Matt Judge, who has given up his role as head of transfer negotiations at Old Trafford.

In a summer of change, Judge Chief Scout Jim Lawlor and Head of Global Scouting Marcel Bout followed as they walked out the door.
Keane will take on an advisory role, according to The Daily Mail, but will hold transfer and contract negotiations after taking on some of Judge’s obligations.
He is also the brother of Wigan striker Will, who used to be in the Old Trafford books alongside Toffees defender Michael.
Keane is poised to play a key role in getting players through the door at Manchester United for new boss Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils are yet to sign under the Dutchman, meaning Keane could be in for a busy summer.
Solicitor Keane, who works for the law firm of Brandsmiths, has previous experience negotiating assignments and contracts.
The company’s website states: “In sport, Tom has extensive experience in the football industry, where he has become a trusted advisor and representative of well-known players, managers and pundits.
“His work for these clients includes negotiating high value transfers, contracts and addendum agreements.

“Clients who work with Tom appreciate his attention to detail and focus on the commercial drivers behind every deal or dispute.”
Keane is listed as an FA-registered agent on players agency New Era Global Sports’ website.
Whether there will be any more signings on the pitch before Keane takes office remains to be seen.
There has long been interest in Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, while SunSport exclusively revealed that United are close to a move for Ajax winger Antony.
