Neves looks certain to end his five-year Molineux career this summer after taking an emotional bow after his last home game against Norwich last week.

And the 25-year-old Portugal international revealed he is ready to “live his dreams” after Sunday’s final game for Wolves at Anfield.

Now, Lage has taken his first step in rebuilding his squad by offering a brand new deal to AC Milan target Gibbs-White.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a stellar season on loan at Sheffield United, where he scored 12 goals in 37 games to convince Lage he can play a big part in Wolves’ future.

New terms have now been offered to the attacking midfielder who was voted Blades player of the season.

Lage has recently held talks with Gibbs-White, saying: “I want him here because he can be an important player for the club.”

“He’s one of the players coming out of the academy and I know it’s so important for the club to have that.

“I’m a foreigner and we have a lot of foreign players, but it’s important for the club to have academy players who are British-born.

“I’ve only been here a year and I love being here, but players like Morgan love the club in a different way.”

After the game at Anfield, Neves said: “The only thing I can tell you at the moment is that everyone knows what football is about, what our lives are about.

“Our career is really short and we have to take advantage of the opportunities we have.

“We all have dreams and we have to live those dreams in a short amount of time. Let’s see what happens, I can’t say too much about it.”
