Man “intending to kill Brett Kavanaugh” arrested with at least one gun near Supreme Court Justice’s home

A gunman was arrested near the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in Maryland.
The man carried at least one gun and allegedly told police he intended to kill the judge, sources told The Washington Post.

Police describe the man as in his mid-20s. He was also reportedly carrying burglary tools.
According to the Post’s sources, he was apparently upset by the leaked draft Supreme Court opinion signaling the court is preparing to overthrow Roe V Wade, which guarantees a person’s right to an abortion.
The man was also reportedly upset by recent mass shootings in the country.
It’s not clear who alerted authorities to the potential threat, The Post reported.


The suspect failed to make it to Kavanaugh’s home and was arrested on a nearby street.
