Man ‘drove around with woman’s body in his car for hours before leaving her outside home for days’

The body of a dead woman was allegedly wheeled around by her boyfriend for hours before being left in a car outside her home, according to authorities.

The macabre incident happened earlier this summer in McCandless, about 12 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Her body was discovered in the passenger seat of her vehicle in the parking lot of her McCandless apartment complex in Ross Township, Pennsylvania in June, authorities told WPXI.

The body was identified as Nicole Dull.

Police officers arrested Patrick McCurry in connection with the case and charged him with abusing a corpse.

According to the criminal complaint obtained by KDKA, McCurry told police that Dull overdosed at his home and gave her Narcan, a prescription drug sometimes used to treat emergency narcotic overdoses.

He then decided to drive her back to her house and left her in the car, according to the complaint.

McCurry allegedly said he was afraid she was dead and didn’t check to see if she was breathing, according to KDKA.

However, police told WPXI they believe Dull was already dead before she ended up in the spun car – and was left in the vehicle outside her home for two days.

Authorities added traffic surveillance cameras that spotted McCurry driving the car with Dull in a reclined position that night.

“I was surprised by the police cars here,” a witness told WPXI when the body was discovered at the complex.

“They were still there when I came back about 45 minutes later. It looked like there were detectives with the flip books all you see was at the crime scene.”

Authorities have not released any further information or a timeline on the case.

An obituary on Legacy.com describes a Nicole L. Dull as 41 years old and born in 1980 and who died suddenly on June 21, 2022.

It is said that she worked as a counselor at the Crossroads Treatment and Recovery Center and left a daughter.

A GoFundMe page had the following tribute:

“Nicole Dull lost her battle with addiction and was reunited with her son, sweet baby James. Nicole was a loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, niece and friend.”

“She had the best sense of humor, even at her own expense. She will be missed by SO many and this world won’t be as bright without her.”

The site has so far raised just over $3,500 to help with funeral expenses and her 18-year-old daughter, who is said to have been living with her mother at the time of death.

The Sun has reached out to McCandless Police for further clarification but has yet to receive a response.
