Man City are targeting a huge one-two for England stars James Maddison and Jude Bellingham in a bid to refresh the squad

MANCHESTER CITY are keeping tabs on Leicester star James Maddison and Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham ahead of the summer transfer window, reports have said.

City are looking to renew their midfield as Ilkay Gundogan’s contract expires in June and Bernardo Silva’s future is at stake.

According to the Mail, the reigning Premier League champions are keeping tabs on both Maddison and Bellingham and are considering a summer move.

However, the Citizens face competition from some European elites for both goals.

Bellingham has excelled in both the Bundesliga and the 2022 World Cup, attracting interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

City have also entered the bidding war but manager Pep Guardiola wants more goals from those behind Erling Haaland.

That’s why the Manchester giants are also keeping an eye on Maddison, who has recorded seven goals and four assists in 16 games in all competitions this season.

Leicester are increasingly unlikely to hang on to the versatile midfielder this summer.

The England international has just 18 months left on his current contract and doesn’t appear keen on extending it.

The Foxes are also looking to avoid repeating the same mistake they made with Youri Tielemans, who is free to leave in June.

However, Newcastle are still keeping an eye on the 26-year-old after two offers were rejected last summer as they did not match Leicester’s £60million valuation.

Other Premier League clubs have also asked about Maddison’s availability in the January transfer window.

City could also opt for an attacker, with AC Milan ace Rafael Leao and Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia linked.
