Man arrested in North Fort Myers after drug-trafficking investigation

NORTH FORT MYERS
A North Fort Myers man was arrested Tuesday following a month-long drug-trafficking investigation.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit arrested 36-year-old Richard Metes, after detectives pulled him over and found fentanyl and methamphetamine in his possession. A search of his home at 4500 Block of Tennyson Drive ended with the seizure of 17.4 grams of fentanyl, 27.4 grams of methamphetamine and $12,828.
Metes faces two counts of drug possession, one count of trafficking in fentanyl and one count of trafficking in methamphetamine. He is being held at the Lee County Jail.
