Man Arrested in 2001 Pennsylvania Teenager’s Cold Case – CBS Pittsburgh

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — Federal authorities have announced the arrest of a New Jersey man in the chilling murder of a teenager whose body was found in central Pennsylvania more than two decades ago.
Columbia County officials say hunters found the shoeless, frosted body of 17-year-old Shamar Washington of Williamsport under an embankment in Hemlock Town in January 2001. He has been reported missing. from Williamsport six days earlier. An autopsy concluded that he had been beaten, stabbed, and shot.

The federal governor in Scranton said Brian Gregory Quinn, 44, was arrested last week in Deptford on a criminal murder warrant obtained by Pennsylvania State Police. The US Marshal’s Office said he had been handed over to the Gloucester County government pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

Assistant District of Columbia Attorney Rebecca Reinhiller told PennLive.com that a suspect has been identified as a result of interviews with state police in the Williamsport area. PennLive.com reported.
It is unclear whether Quinn has an attorney; could not leave a message on Monday at a number listed for him.
