Mama June reveals her daughter Anna’s stage IV cancer is ‘terminal’ and that the 26-year-old mother of two is contracting it ‘one day at a time’.
“MAMA” June Shannon has revealed her daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s stage four cancer may be terminal.
Anna, 28, was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer and started chemotherapy in May.

June 24, spoke to entertainment tonight about her eldest daughter’s battle with cancer.
The Mama June: From Not To Hot alum said, “For me, it’s an emotional rollercoaster ride at times.”
“I’ve always thought about it mentally. We know it’s fatal.”
The We TV star added, “She’s in stage 4. She won’t go into remission.”
“We’ve all accepted that, so I just tell people one day at a time because you never know.”
THE CHILDREN
Anna and her ex-husband Michael Cardwell share their daughter Kylee, seven, Madison Cardwell.
She also had a daughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth Shannon, 10, from a previous relationship.
June also revealed how the little ones are dealing with the situation.

The reality star mentioned, “Kaitlyn has always been close to Anna but now she doesn’t go anywhere without Anna.”
“I understand that because she thinks if Anna goes somewhere, Anna might not be in the house when she comes back.”
June noted that Kylee “just knows Mommy’s sick.”
In January, Anna complained of stomach pains.
Months later, she began losing her hair and the ability to eat.
Doctors discovered that she had adrenal carcinoma, a type of cancer that affects the liver, kidneys and lungs.
In January, Anna joined her sisters Alana, aka Honey Boo Boo, Thompson, 17; Lauryn, aka Pumpkin, Efird, 23; and Jessica, aka Chubbs, Shannon, 26, to walk her matriarch down the aisle at the wedding to fiancé Justin Stroud.
THE FALLOUT
Years ago, Anna and June had a falling out after their mother resumed a relationship with the man accused of abusing her as a child.
The mother-daughter duo became estranged when June went back to dating her alleged childhood sex offender, Mark McDaniel, after his release from prison in 2014.
In June 2021, the TV personality reunited with June at her sister Lauryn’s baby shower.
Anna previously told The US Sun that she had “no relationship” with June, who “never apologized for her past mistakes.”
“You know, I’ve never had a conversation with her where she’s like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry about what happened or, I’m sorry.
“It’s like she always dismisses everything and pretends everything is fine and nothing happened.”
Although Anna did not have a close relationship with her mother, she kept in regular contact with her siblings.
