The Palatine Village Council approved a special use and liquor license on Monday that will allow Mike Reppe to open Rep’s Burgers, which will open its doors in the fall, The Daily Herald reported.
“I have been living in the Palatinate for about six years now,” Reppe told the local council.
“I grew up in Rolling Meadows, so I figured I could cover both cities.”
The menu includes delicious smashed burgers, smashed chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, beer, wine and hard seltzer.

A drive-thru option is also offered, although not for alcohol sales.
Reppe says he will address concerns raised by neighbors about the previous tenant, which closed in 2022, including complaints about neighbors standing on a concrete slab and looking down on private property.
“I have lived in this house for 32 years,” said a neighbor, Lisa Lindemann, at a village meeting.
“I had rubbish in my garden.
“I had wild animals come into my yard to eat Arby’s food.”
Reppe assured locals on Monday, September 11, that “we are taking care of what the residents wanted.”
