Find your way through this one-of-a-kind Raid and earn your rewards easily with this guide.
If you’re struggling to earn tons of TBC classic gold for your flying mounts, you might try to consider completing a Raid. First of all, these places tend to give lots of challenges to each player. Indeed, even with 25 capable players, one mistake can result in a wipe. As a result, you’ll need to acquire proper communication and have a basic knowledge about the Raid.
Secondly, every single monster that appears in these places is properly “balanced.” In other words, if the party isn’t careful, a random monster might use powerful abilities and defeat a couple of players. Therefore, try to move carefully and learn how to counter-attack the enemy.
Lastly, you’ll need to master the potential of your champion. Overall, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with all of the abilities/spells, proper combos, and annoying cooldowns. Additionally, you should know what consumables aid your character and how to keep yourself alive. Indeed, the less assistance you need from other players to complete your role, the better for the team.
In this article, we’ll focus on the Magtheridon’s Lair with hints that can guide you through the Raid.
Unlocking the Raid
First of all, you’ll need to reach level 60 and unlock the “end-game” content in World of Warcraft. Indeed, you can reach this milestone quickly if you increase the length of your gaming sessions, or if you follow a TBC power leveling guide. Either way, completing quests and moving between maps can give you a good advantage as you try to complete the main content.
Afterward, you’ll need to pass through the “Dark Portal” and unlock the WoW Classic TBC content. Furthermore, as you move through the “new” content of the expansion, you’ll soon gather enough experience and reach level 65. When you get to this point, you’ll only need to farm for decent TBC Items and gather your friends/guildmates.

Magtheridon’s Lair Theme
Even though this raid is relatively short, you’ll soon notice how difficult turns to be when you’re dealing with powerful foes. Inside the Raid, you’ll find different orcs with lots of knowledge about the Warlock’s capabilities.
At first, you’ll see multiple Hellfire Warders that might cast Death Coil, Rain of Fire, Shadow Bolt Vollet, or Shadow Burst. If you already experienced any Warlock gameplay, you’ll know how annoying these abilities tend to become. As a result, try to approach any encounter slowly and with caution.
In a short while, you’ll soon find the one and only boss that appears in this Raid.
- 3 to 5 Tanks
- 8 to 10 Healers
- Both Range and Melee DPS (10 to 14)
- Warlocks give you better advantages
Magtheridon’s Lair Bosses
Before you start the fight, double-check that every member is in their right position. Afterward, you cannot damage the boss until you defeat the Hellfire Channelers first. Within Phase One, you need to deal with each enemy at the same time, and make sure that every enemy is isolated.
If you do not have five tanks on your team, you’ll need two tanks to focus on two Channelers at the same time. As a result, it is recommendable that those players have powerful equipment. When any of these powerful spellcasters dies, they will “transfer” their soul to the remaining Channelers. In other words, the remaining foes will get a buff that increases their damage and casting speed.
In Phase Two, you’ll have to fight Magtheridon itself and try to defeat this demon as soon as possible. One of the powerful spells that this boss has at its disposal is the “Blast Nova.” Overall, this overpowered ability will simply kill the entire group if you do not interrupt the cast. Indeed, to prevent this outcome, you’ll need to move five players to the cubes, and “activate” these TBC Items simultaneously.
When your party reaches Phase Three (remaining health at 30%), Magtheridon will stun the entire group for a while. Additionally, the structure starts to collapse, and you’ll see red indicators on the floor that tells you where the debris will fall. Try to avoid these dangerous zones and focus on defeating the boss and earning WoW TBC gold.
