The new season of the game show premieres tonight and it’s monumental.

It will be Pat’s last after 40 years as a host before he retires and makes way for American Idol host Ryan.

Maggie took on the task of bringing 76-year-old Pat back to the stage on his farewell opening night.

Their meaningful promotional video began with Pat sitting on one side of the Wheel of Fortune stage in a signature suit, eating a snack.

Maggie rushed over to him, looking stunning, her blonde locks flowing in a floral dress.

She sat down on the bench next to him and said, “That’s nice, but you know the vacation is over, right? It’s time to get back to work.”

“Already!?” Pat asked.

“Yeah, you better – you better get on set!” Maggie said as the peaceful record-scratch style music played.

“Hold my cheese,” Pat said.

“Season 41!” Pat added as he rushed to the center of the stage.

“WE NEED YOU AS A HOST!”

Maggie captioned the meaningful Instagram video: “Get ready everyone. And I mean everyone: Season 41 starts TONIGHT!”

Vanna White, 66, wasn’t part of the video, but fans were still excited as it showed the soon-to-be-retired Pat back in action.

“Pat Sajak’s last opening night!” wrote one fan.

Another fan commented: “If Pat retires from Wheel, I will too. I’m not a fan of the sequel!!!”

“We need you as a replacement host!!!” wrote a third.

“You belong there”

Last week, Maggie shared a photo of herself poignantly posing where her father usually stands on stage.

She wore an orange top that matched the main wheel of the show.

She smiled and happened to be standing in Pat’s place when he hosted all these years.

The overwhelming amount of comments once again showed that fans were disappointed that the show was airing in June 2024 with Ryan and not her, and that she wasn’t even given a chance.

One fan wrote: “This will also be the last season of Wheel that I watch because as soon as that idiot Ryan takes over I’m done watching.” I can not stand him.”

Another wrote: “You should take on your father’s role, Maggie. Having two beautiful women on this show would be absolutely amazing. I’m just saying,” referring to Vanna, 66.

“Not ready for Ryan Seacrest,” wrote a third, while a fourth wrote: “You definitely look like you belong there.” I still wish you would succeed your father…”

Vanna’s “last contract”

Season 41 — which premieres tonight, September 11 — isn’t just Pat’s last before Ryan takes over.

Season 41 also marks Vanna’s final season under her current contract, which runs until 2024, when Pat retires. according to Deadline.

Vanna is still in a salary war, demanding a well-deserved raise once Ryan steps in, and her future after this season is still uncertain.

A source close to the show claimed to the Daily Mail that executives want “their next contract to be their last contract.”

“So there’s a little more maneuverability to make a change in a few years when they’re looking for their replacement.”

“It depends on who will give in first, but neither of them hesitates yet.

Many fans want Vanna to remain the mail turner and for Maggie to become the host instead of Ryan – or for Vanna to be the host and Maggie to be the mail turner.

On Tuesday, Vanna and Pat, 76, posed side by side in a promotional photo ahead of their final season together.

Even there, one fan commented, “Probably last season since Ryan Seacrest holds up and you won’t give Vanna a raise.”

Another wrote: “You need to keep Vanna and give her a raise. You should put her in Pat’s place and Pat’s daughter in Vanna White’s place.

Maggie currently serves as the show’s social media correspondent and grew up watching the show.

She spends almost all of her time on Wheel and fans are surprised she wasn’t considered for anything.

VANNA LAWYERS UP “FOR ALL WOMEN”

Meanwhile, Vanna reportedly makes half of what Pat makes now and hasn’t gotten a raise in 18 years.

TMZ previously confirmed that Vanna earns around $3 million annually.

According to the outlet, Pat earns around $15 million annually.

sources told People: “50 percent of Pat’s salary is so outrageous that no one in their right mind could say it’s fair.”

The negotiation demands well over 50 percent of his salary. The same salary is required – if not more.”

“Vanna was told, ‘If you fight this, you’ll lose your job.’ “You’re lucky to have the job. And when people tell you that for so long, you believe it,” before adding that White is now ready to fight for her future.

“She’s a really, really sweet person. She deserves so much more.”

Negotiations between Vanna and Sony have become “very difficult,” an insider familiar with the situation also told TMZ.

Another source claimed the host “feels like it’s a statement for all women” and is reportedly negotiating for “a modicum of justice.”

It was reported by TMZ that Vanna chose the celebrity wheel of fortune; She will earn $100,000 per episode while Pat will earn $400,000.

PAT’S A WRAP!

On June 12, 2023, Pat told fans in a personal note on Twitter: “Well, it’s time. I have decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last.”

“It’s been a wonderful ride and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.”
