LUIS SUAREZ put Premier League clubs on red alert as his move to River Plate collapsed.
The 35-year-old free-agent forward is already said to be of interest for three European teams after KOing the Argentinian giants in their Copa Libertadores.
The former Liverpool and Barcelona superstar, who left Atletico Madrid last month, has always dreamed of winning South America’s premier club competition.

Suarez told Ovacion: “A month and a half ago I declared that I will not leave Europe.
“But River was insistent and insistent enough that I thought about it and there was a possibility.

“You’re excited that they love you so much.
“I was very excited about the possibility of going to River to fight for the Copa Libertadores.
“It was a dream that I had to win a trophy in South America. When River was knocked out, that opportunity disappeared.
And he was both “surprised” and disappointed that Uruguayans Nacional didn’t get close.

The ex-Ajax forward said: “If I thought about the possibility of River and I was happy about it, the same thing would happen with Nacional who was my home.
“I’m surprised the Nacional leaders didn’t even call me to find out my situation.
“The player needs love. River gave it to me and Nacional could have tried.”
