Love Island fans are slamming Tyrique for ‘gasing it on’ Ella after Kady McDermott wreaked havoc at the mansion
LOVE Island fans accused Tyrique of pressuring Ella on the ITV2 show after he told Kady McDermott he was “open” to meeting her.
The footballer has been dating model Ella since day one and recently said he wanted them to be “closed”.

But minutes after 27-year-old Kady entered the villa, he made a dramatic U-turn and got into another argument with Ella, which left her in tears.
He said to her, “She kept asking me, ‘Are you closed?’ And I said, “No, I’m not closed, but it’s going to take a lot of me.”
“I’m not just open to every bombshell, it’s a selective thing.”
Ella replied, “Oh, do you want to meet her?”
And he replied: “Yes. If she wants to get to know me. Then I’m open to getting to know her, 100 percent.”
Seeing Ella’s stony face, Tyrique fumed, adding, “Now you just suck.”
The pair began arguing over Ella’s reaction to his comments, rather than his admission to meeting Kady.
And fans weren’t impressed with Tyrique’s behavior, as they pointed out on Twitter.
One ranted: “Tyrique is pressuring this girl! He wants to piss her off every time! You don’t expect her to smile after she says you want to meet someone, do you???!”
A second article said, “But Tyrique said he was closed on this challenge, now he’s open to Kady.”
“How the hell does he want her to react when he wants to go to every woman that comes in?”
And a third said: “All women should be obliged to check out Tyrique on #LoveIsland for a classic case of gaslighting.”
Tyrique previously admitted that he has dated several girls in the real world and has never been in an exclusive relationship.
When asked if he’s a player both off and on the field, he told The Sun: “I’ve been known to date more than one person at a time in the past, to be honest.”
“But I feel like it’s difficult, the pun, because the people I date know that I date other people. So it’s not like I’m turning my back on anyone or anything like that.”
“Am I really a player, if I do it openly and honestly, does that really make me a player? People have their opinions.”
“I will take my shot at Villa. I’m not afraid to step on anyone’s toes.”
