“Loud explosion” was heard near the Russian embassy in DC as police and intelligence agencies rushed to the scene where Putin protests were taking place

A LOUD bang was reportedly heard near the Russian Embassy in Washington DC.
Social media users online said they heard the noise in Glover Park early Thursday morning.
Police and intelligence officials rushed to the scene to investigate the reports. FoxNews reported.
One tweeted: “Anyone hearing the explosion in Glover Park right now?”
Another wrote: “Really big explosion in Glover Park DC.”
And a third said: “It was incredibly loud.”
The cause of the noise is not yet known and investigations are ongoing.
reporter Alan Henney tweeted that DC cops, firefighters and Secret Service searched the crime scene near the embassy but found nothing.
It comes just days after demonstrators protested outside the Russian embassy.
Demonstrators held up Ukrainian flags in support of the Eastern European nation, while some branded Vladimir Putin a “tyrant”.
Ilona Dolfler, who has friends and family in Kyiv, tells the story WTOPF: “We only came here to be together in this moment and to express our outrage.
“They’re scared, but they’re not panicking.
“They remain calm and ready to defend their motherland. That’s why I’m very, very proud of my Ukrainian compatriots at the moment.”
