Lottery warning over 9 unclaimed tickets with jackpots between $100k & $1.2million – the locations sold could be a clue

LOTTERY players are being urged to check their tickets after a string of prizes worth up to $1.2 million remain unclaimed.

A total of 9 jackpot and daily game prizes are still up for grabs on the Illinois Lottery website – and all winners need to do is RSVP.

The jackpots up for grabs start at $100,000 and go up to $1.2 million.

The Illinois lottery website informs players about the game, the drawing date, the location of the ticket and the amount the ticket is worth.

Unfortunately, if the prizes are not claimed within one year of the drawing, they will expire.

The only hope of finding these lucky winners lies in the ticket location.

The Jewel Food Store in Chicago sold $1.2 million in Lucky Day lottery tickets in late October.

A month later, another Jewel Food store sold another Lucky Day Lotto winning ticket.

This time with prize money of $600,000.

For the same reason, someone bought a winning Powerball ticket from Om Chicago Heights in August and didn’t claim their $1 million prize.

However, the case of a forgotten lottery ticket is not uncommon.

There was $1.5 million in unclaimed awards in Iowa in fiscal year 2022.

Meanwhile, in Florida, a $44 million lottery prize has been dormant for nearly six months, and officials are urging a winner to come forward.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at a Sunoco Express Kissimmee, according to the Florida Lottery.

It was for the June 14th draw and the winning numbers were 9-13-15-46-51-21.

Typically, winning players have one year to claim their ticket. However, in Florida, winners have 180 days to claim their winnings.

This ticket expires at midnight on December 11th.
