Shin Megami Tensei 5 It’s a pretty challenging game. Not only are the casual encounters brutal, but the bosses are almost exclusively designed to be a thorn in your side of the pope. This of course causes many people to ponder to overcome the challenge of the game.
Leveling up makes sense, as doing so opens up new abilities, new demons, and all sorts of beneficial ways in combat. However, it is not very effective. Thankfully, there’s a simple solution to all of this: Devil Statue.
What is a demon statue?
The Demon Statues are the petrified remains of mighty demons who died in the great battle that took place across Da’at. Players can find them hidden around each of the main areas, and by summing up their incredible magical potential, can turn them into EXP for their demons.
Interacting with the Demon Statue will instantly level up every demon on your party, making leveling up much easier. Note that Demon’s level up much slower by design than Nahobino, which is a very handy way to get quick bursts of power.
Please note, however, Demon Statue does not level up Nahobino.
Should You Use Demon Statues Early?
Shin Megami Tensei 5 does not have to be sharpened to pass. The game has multiple systems specifically for power-ups, and to be honest, none of them have anything to do with leveling up your demons.
That being said, if you want to power up your party, you have two options:
- Wait until the game is over and use all the Demon Statues to quickly power up your desired team
- Use them when you find them and keep your early game group as strong as possible.
Honestly, there’s no wrong answer here, but saving the Demon Statue will definitely make the ending a little easier. Theoretically you could hit 18 levels on all your late game demons.
