PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A local woman organized a bread sale on Tuesday with the proceeds benefiting a great cause – helping the people of Ukraine.
The cupcake shop was set up outside Biddle’s Escape and sold hundreds of Linzer cookies in about an hour.
She said she knew the people of Pittsburgh would be in full force.
“I know that people have that background here, but it was really overwhelming,” said Ingrid Lexova.
All proceeds will go to Caritas Ukraine, a humanitarian group dedicated to helping the people of Ukraine.
Lexova said she may be hosting another bread sale soon, thanks to all the support she’s received.
