Live’s Mark Consuelos claims that it’s “part of the charm of the show” and a “challenge” to “screw up something” he loves on live television

LIVE host Mark Consuelos exclusively told The US Sun that “part of the charm of the show is being able to screw things up on live TV.”
Mark, 52, spoke about his transition from screenplay to live television actress and how it’s a “challenge he loves”.
The live presenter said: “Even if it’s recorded live, we’ll shoot it live.”
Mark explained, “It’s so packaged.”
“[Producer] Michael Gelman says that’s part of the show’s charm,” he revealed.
Known for acting on the soap opera All My Children, Mark spoke about his transition from scripted television.

“As an actor, when you screw something up, they keep saying, ‘Okay, let’s do it again,’ and you can do that as many times as you need until they get it right,” Mark said.
He clarified, “But this is live television, so it definitely feels like you’re walking a tightrope of sorts and stepping into it every day, and that’s a challenge that I love.”
GREAT CHOICE!
Mark also shared his thoughts and well wishes on Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak’s career and which Hollywood star could be the next host of the iconic game show.
Ever since Pat announced his retirement in a Twitter post on Monday, June 12, fans have been eager to find out who the new presenter will be.

Multiple sources reported “several eyes turned to” former live presenter Ryan Seacrest, 48, who is rumored to be a top candidate for Pat’s position.
Mark told The US Sun: “I think [Ryan] That would be great and it’s a great job for him.”
The live host admitted, “Although I never really spoke to him about whether he wanted to do that.”
PARTY WITH PAT!
In a previous episode that aired June 13, Mark mentioned that he had been at a “wild underground party” with Pat.
Speaking to The US Sun, Mark revealed, “I’m not sure how crazy the party with Pat was – I think we may have sugarcoated that it was a wild party.”
He continued, “Pat was so playful and we had a lot of fun.”
“We had dinner earlier in the evening and I’m really happy for him – he had such a great run,” concluded Mark.
As for his relationship with Ryan, Mark said they “definitely keep in touch” even though they live on different coasts now.
Mark commented: “[Ryan] is always on the move, he is always somewhere; But we keep in touch via text and I can’t wait to see him soon.
A MEN’S WORLD
Mark took over as live presenter from Ryan last April.
Since Mark joined the show in April, “Live with Kelly and Mark” has been the #1 syndicated talk show and #1 entertainment talk show across all of daytime television.
According to statistics from Nielsen, “Live” reached 27.1 billion minutes of airtime this season alone, making it the most-watched talk show on television.
On Monday’s episode, Kelly Ripa, 52, teased her co-host and husband that audiences have looked a little different since the transition.
Kelly and Mark talked about watching Final X, a wrestling competition for the world team.
The actress noted that she was one of about five women attending the event and joked the other women were the wrestlers’ mothers.
“There were so many men there,” she said. “A lot of men.”
“By the way, I don’t know if it’s the Consuelos effect on this show, but since you’ve been here there have been a lot of men in the audience.”
Kelly continued, “Well, I don’t know what that is.”
The live audience cheered as Mark said, “Yeah!” It’s a bro show; There are many people here.
Kelly replied, “They used to be women, women who’ve come here before.”
“It used to be a safe place for women,” she joked while the crowd laughed.
She explained, “It was an all-female audience and every once in a while there would be a husband who would sit very still and be afraid to move.”
“Like he’d make amends,” interrupted Mark.
“Right like he was in trouble, he was punished,” Kelly continued.
TIME TO PROVE YOURSELF
Mark’s first day as a co-host was on April 17, when he retold a hilarious story about a trip to New York with their 21-year-old daughter, Lola.
Before going to an art gallery, Lola warned her parents, “The receptionist will look at you and she won’t be very nice.”
Kelly added, “They will treat you like scum.”
The Riverdale actor boasted about how he charmed Lola’s friends at the art gallery and made them smile at him.
Describing her husband, Kelly said, “You are behaving in a way that is so obnoxious and ridiculous.”
She continued: “They smiled! I was so irritated that he was treated well!”

The couple has been married for almost 30 years.
In addition to Lola, Kelly and Mark share their two sons, Michael, 25, and Joaquin Antonio, 19.
