But given City’s allegations and reports suggesting the club’s penalties could include losing their previous titles if found guilty.

This has led to some members of the Liverpool squad all asking the same question on social media this year.

Jose Enrique tweeted: “Am I a Premier League champion?”

The Spaniard added: “When are the parade reds? I want to celebrate being Premier League champions.”

He was joined by Lucas Leiva, who also tweeted: “Am I a Premier League champion?”

Jon Flanagan also chimed in, tweeting: “When is our open top bus parade? 13/14 🏅.”

City have been charged by the Premier League for more than 100 breaches between 2009 and 2018.

The current runners-up face possible penalties, including point deductions, transfer bans, spending limits and even being kicked out of the league.

During that period, the reigning Prem champions won three titles – in the 2011-12, 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons.

It is unknown what would happen to those titles and if they would be awarded to the runners-up when City face the harshest sanction.
