Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold in memory of Ava White, 12, who died while turning on the Christmas lights

LIVERPOOL star Trent Alexander-Arnold paid tribute to 12-year-old Ava White after she was killed at a Christmas light spot.
Merseyside is in mourning following the senseless murder of a child in Liverpool city center last week.
A 14-year-old boy will face trial for a heinous crime next year.
After Liverpool beat local rivals Everton 4-1, Alexander-Arnold proudly showed off a red T-shirt with ‘RIP Ava White’ written on the front in white lettering.
Alexander-Arnold is Liverpool born and raised and has become a huge star for club and country.
There was also a little girl tribute on screen during the big derby clash, with both groups of fans giving a round of applause in the 12th minute of the game at Goodison Park.
Ava White suffered “catastrophic injuries” after being stabbed in Liverpool city center last week.
A 14-year-old boy, who has not been legally named, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday charged with murder.
The teenager is also facing a charge of possession of an article with one-sided content.
He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during the brief hearing.
No plea has been made but a provisional trial date for May 16 next year has been set.
A plea hearing and preparatory trial will be held on February 18.
No bail application has been made and the boy has been taken to a safe place.
Three other boys, aged 13, 14 and 15, arrested on suspicion of murder were granted conditional bail.
Emergency crews rushed downtown on Thursday night as families gathered to watch the Christmas lights come on.
Paramedics discovered Ava collapsed on the ground as a member of the public desperately tried to save her life.
She was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved and died soon after.
