SADIO MANE has hinted he could quash interest from Bayern Munich in favor of his youth club.
The forward has reiterated his love for Marseille in an interview following Senegal’s game against Benin.
Mane scored a hat-trick in his country’s 3-1 win and, as expected, was asked about his future at club level.
The inquiry comes after reports the star wants to leave Liverpool after six years at Anfield.
Mane has scored 120 goals for the Reds, including two big goals in this season’s Champions League semi-finals.
However, rumors of a rift between the 30-year-old and Mohamed Salah have not gone away in recent seasons.
While Salah’s immediate future is also not clear, Mane’s mindset up to this point is well documented.
It had been widely speculated that Bayern were the hot favorites to secure Mane’s signature, although his post-match interview cast some doubt on that.
He said: “Bayern and Barca? Both teams are good. But I’m not a fan of those teams, you know. My favorite team is Marseille.”
The French side were best of the rest last season behind runaway winners Paris Saint-Germain, securing their place in next year’s Champions League.

They may also want to increase their firepower, with former West Ham man Dimitri Payet leading in both goals and assists.
However, Bayern remain hopeful of the deal as attackers Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry are both said to be moving on.
